Cancellation policy If you are unable to attend an intake or consult, please app, mail or call 2 days prior to the intake or consult. Reimbursement The Dutch healthcare reimbursement system can differ from that of other countries. The level of coverage for consults with Therapie Amsterdam Noord depends on your insurance provider, the type of policy you have, and in some cases, your employer. Below are the main reimbursement options available:

1. Reimbursement through Supplementary Insurance If you have Dutch health insurance, reimbursement for consults with Therapie Amsterdam Noord may be available through your Supplementary insurance package. Coverage varies by insurer and policy, so it’s important to consult your specific insurance terms or visit the Dutch Health Care Guide (Zorgwijzer) for more information. If your insurer requires additional documentation, you can find my registration details below and here.

2. Reimbursement through Basic Insurance – Goodwill Request For coverage from the Dutch Basic insurance, there is an exception in case of excessive waiting times at mental health care institutions (GGZ). If the waiting period exceeds the Treeknorm (4 weeks for intake, 10 weeks to start treatment), your health insurer has a duty of care and may be obligated to provide an alternative. In such cases, you can submit a goodwill request asking for (partial) reimbursement for therapy at Therapie Amsterdam Noord as a temporary or bridging solution. A sample for a goodwill letter is available here to guide you in making this request.

3. Reimbursement through Your Employer Another possible option is to request reimbursement through your employer. Some (Dutch) employers offer a personal development or well-being budget as part of their employee benefits package. Check with your HR department or employee handbook to see if you are eligible to use this budget for therapy sessions with Therapie Amsterdam Noord.
